The Cambridge Diet For Weight Loss

The Cambridge diet was originated in the English University of the same name in the seventies, and is the brainchild of Dr. Allan Howard. Since then this weight loss system has become very popular in several countries, and many people have used this method to loss those extra kilos. Basically the Cambridge Diet is a low calorie diet, carefully balanced according to its creators to burn fat quickly.

Let us see which are the main aspects of this system. This diet is based on the intake of the meals manufactured by the franchise, consisting of shakes, soups, purees, minerals, vitamins, and special beverages. The basics of this system is to eat these foods daily, along with other foods specifically recommended in a sequence of 6 phases. In the first phase the patient consume 415-615 calories per day and can eat only the specific products manufactured by the franchise. After this phase, the patient can gradually begin to consume protein-rich products such as skim milk, vegetables, meat, fish, yogurt, and fruit. People who have followed this method, testify that they have lost weight quickly, and some also refer some side effects typical of the low calorie diets. As with any health issue, it is always advisable to consult with your doctor before taking a decision about any diet system.

Other Popular Low Calorie Diets:

The South Beach Diet: This diet proposes a rapid decrease in weight between 3-6 kilos in the first 15 days, and consists of three phases. It is a low calorie diet, and to perform it the follower needs a good dose of willpower.

The Lemonade Diet: This is a liquid diet involving a daily intake of a beverage containing fresh lemon, natural water, organic maple syrup, and cayenne. It also includes a morning intake of water and salt.
